Real Madrid's winger Offers Sincere Sorry to Real Madrid Supporters
Vinicius Jr has netted five goals in 10 Spanish league outings this season.
The Madrid giants winger Vinicius Jr has apologised to fans for his response when replaced in Sunday's heated Clasico clash victory.
Vinicius was replaced in the 72nd min and showed his frustration by heading directly to the dressing room.
The Brazilian eventually reappeared to the sidelines and, following his side's 2-1 victory, sought to engage Barça's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury after the game scenes.
"This day I want to apologise to all the Real Madrid fans for my behavior when I was substituted in the derby," he shared on X.
"Similarly to I have said in person during this morning's training, I also want to say sorry once more to my team-mates, the club, and the club president.
"At times emotion overcomes me because I continuously aim to win and support my side. My winning mentality originates in the passion I have for this team and each thing it represents."
The player signed for Madrid from Flamengo in recent years for a significant fee and has accumulated 111 goals in 335 appearances.
But his future in the Madrid is uncertain with speculation in recent months suggesting that the club would contemplate allowing the young star move on if they were to receive a good proposal.
When he was substituted on the match day, TV coverage from broadcaster the platform recorded him saying: "Always me! I'm exiting the club! It's better if I go, I'm moving on."
In his most recent statement on the platform, Vinicius said: "I vow to keep fighting every second for the good of the club, as I have done since the very beginning."
